Astilbin is a flavonoid component in the Astilbe plant. It has multiple functions, including promoting blood circulation to relieve pain, detoxifying and resolving masses, eliminating phlegm and stopping cough, dispelling wind and removing dampness, strengthening tendons and bones, etc. In clinical applications, astilbin is often used to treat injuries from falls and knocks, rheumatism and arthralgia, fatigue from overwork, snake bites, burns and scalds, stomach pain, enteritis, colds, chronic bronchitis, infantile convulsions, and malignant tumors such as lung cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer, and rectal cancer.
